Envy Entertainment 1st Annual Hip Hop Dance Battle

The Hip Hop Dance Battle consisted of 3 battles that started on Jan 16, 2014 – Jan 30, 2014. Dance crews came out from across the Second Life grid to compete for 10KL$. It was truly a pleasure to see Second Life residents come together as a team, choreograph dance routines, select music and unique outfits as well as, create OMG sets.

As the CEO of Envy Entertainment and the host of the Hip Hop Dance Battle I had the pleasure of sitting back relaxing and enjoying the performances. The handpicked judges sat back and enjoyed the battle as they judged each dance crew for their dance routine creativity, music selection, appearance and that wow factor and for several teams that wow factor was their unique set designs.

For each crew that did not make the next round custom gifts created by RJB Jewelry were given to each dancer as well as separate gifts for each judge. The first place and second place winner received custom gifts as well as a custom trophy designed by RJB Jewelry and of course the first place winner took home 10KL$. 

Putting together a dance routine of this magnitude with dances, music, outfits, props and sets takes sacrifice of time and hard work. To transform a dance routine into a piece of moving art is truly amazing. I want to say thank you to each dance crew that performed in the battle, you are all are winners. I want to say thank you to all of the judges for your time and input. I want to say thank you to the Battle Executive and the MC/Music Director.
