There’s nothing more peaceful then the sound of water as a sailboats
glides through a Second Life ocean. For those that want a more “hands on deck” experience,
operating a sailboat in Second Life is not only an adventure it’s entertaining.
As in real life, to be a captain of your sailboat it would be helpful to know
how to navigate a map. I love to sail in Second Life and my navigation skills
are still in the learning process. I advise all that board a sailboat with me
to bring a snack because we will get lost and to open their mini map and help navigate
our way through the oceans of Second Life. As the captain of your sailboat you
will need to hoist and trim your mainsails to catch the wind and yes Second
Life have wind that makes your sailboat move.
One of my favorite places to sail is on the Blake Sea in
Second Life. I have a large variety of sailboats that I love sail one is what
some have called my “Cadillac” sailboat, the MLCC Loonetta 31 by Motor Loon.
This beautiful Mesh crafted sailboat is a must have but don’t take my word for
it, checkout in-world.
